Get the Townie Barmug. A person or individual who usually resides around or lingers in a town or city centre. Parasite of malls, these people can often be seen with long flowing fringes obscuring the eyes, band t-shirts, and skinny jeans. Often the individual is completely unaware that they fulfill the definition of a Townie. They will deny it in their ignorance. The brackets "(SK)" indicate another popular name for a townie, a Scene Kid.
The term "Townie", can be applied in many ways. Possibly a direct statement, nickname or words describing the individual.

Get the whitby towniesmug. 1)A place infested with non educated dilinquents or "NED's" know as townies. An example of this is a place know as Worthing or "Hell" to its residents.
2)A roadworks hole with a half unconcious townie in who fell into it after drinking too much wine straight from the bottle like a hobo. Unfortunatly (for the townie) when this scenario last occoured it was right outside school and moments later he was removed from the hole towards almost certain death, poor little bugger i salute you.

The townie factor is usually a combination of certain attributes but not limited to such combinations:
1. Being Sketchy
2. Displaying social ineptitude towards normal people but not towards dirty non-normal people.
3. Being Dirty
4. Invoking disgust and discomfort towards others.
5. Possessing the worst and sketchiest qualities of an urban dweller.
The townie as a negative attribute refers to the worst attributes possessed by characters belonging to a town. The townie factor is the qualities of the townie. They are usually unshaven, ungroomed, smelly from not taking a shower, has put no effort into taking care of their health or hygiene. They may also seem rather strange and difficult to appreciate.
