slam poet

A horrible poet with great stage presense. Any person who uses more than 20 different words ending with "-ied" in their poem.

Person 1: How many more slam poets are we going to have to sit through?
Person 2: Just ten more about inner-city life, fifteen more about a bad relationship, and seven more about how great a slam poet that slam poet is.

ars poetic

derived from the word ars and combined with the word poetic this expressions is genre in poetry that is also used to describe an ars who is intellegent and well educated. In the rarest of cases the ars poetic might actually be a poet.

This guy was looking at me at the pub all night and I thought he looked like an ars, but when he came and talked to me he totally redeemed himself as an ars poetic!
