A person drawn to, or entertained by, the real-world misfortune of others, observed either in-person or through social media and news outlets. A hybrid of "voyeur" and "schadenfreude", it's the personification of morbid curiosity.

Whether we're laughing at a fail video, reading about a canceled celebrity, or rubbernecking at the scene of an accident, we're all schadenvoyeurs sometimes.
