A service organization started in the all-girls Catholic high school IHA in NJ. It has its roots in the mountains of Poland and the rolling hills of Hungary and is inspired by the zumba-loving cultural phenomenon Alexandra Haracz. Its mission is, "Project Aleks: helping us to raise cultural awarness and embracing ourselves one zumba class at a time." Project Aleks helps young women embrace their culture and their body, and it is both a local and national movement. Its activities include raising money for schools to support their P.E. program, donating to local gyms, and also donating to charities that support child health. It is involved in local E.S.L. programs and cultural clubs.
