Downhill effect

When a film contains a number of good scenes which are almost immediately followed by scenes of a far lesser quality, causing the film to slowly move downhill until there's no hope in sight. The downhill effect was made popular by Raymond Walter back in 1988 with his film "Blue Code."

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" really suffered from the downhill effect unlike the much superior film "Me and You and Everyone We Know."

A person that constantly talks himself up about pouncing on opportunities "hence the term panther" and making things happen , but inevitably fails to deliver and consequently snowballs into an array of broken promises and poor performances creating an effect to those around him

I was excited to play some Battlefield after I was finished studying, but when I finished, it seemed boring. It was a common case of the study effect.

Nap Effect

Nap Effect, this is what happens when you have a normal sleep schedule then you go choose to go to bed at like 2 or 3 o clock in the morning and end up waking up at 6:30 in the morning without waking up in the middle of your sleep.

When a band's most successful song (usually not they're best) becomes they're only known song among non fans.

Joe: "Hey what's your favorite Metallica song?"
Alex: "Oh you know Enter Sandman."
Joe: " Really? I think Fade to Black or Master of Puppents is better."
Alex: "I've never heard those ones."
Joe: "The Enter Sandman Effect." *sigh*
