He’ll make you feel safe just by standing next to you, and ruin you for anyone else with the way he says your name like it’s a secret. Probably says things like “I missed you so much” into your neck when he hugs you, and kisses your forehead like he’s afraid of losing you.

Because how else could you explain how familiar it felt to fall for him? The soft voice. The way he looked at you like you were the only thing in the world that made sense. The way he always made sure you were okay — physically, emotionally, spiritually. Even when he didn’t know how to say it. Even when he didn’t say anything at all.
