A popular, Java-based MMORPG that generates a feeling of accomplishment in its victims through use of repetitive and boring tasks that require virtually no skill to complete. The game is entertaining at lower levels due to the apparent ease of "Levelling up" at said levels, any worthy "accomplishment" in the game requires a tremendous amount of time to complete, ranging from hundreds of hours to months. A great deal of enjoyment in the game is found through the completion of "Quests", ranging in difficulty from "novice", where the player is assigned a realitively mediocre task such as collecting (an) egg(s) for a chef, to "grandmaster", where the player is tasked with defeating an incredibly dangerous foe whose power often exceeds the power of the player themself. While social "interaction" plays a great deal of importance in the game, very little, if any of it is actually required to master all of the game's skills or even complete quests. While the game certainly is addicting, I highly reccomend it to any victim of World of Warcraft, Minecraft, or any other Java-based online game. While you will most likely become addicted to RuneScape, it will alleviate your addiction to almost any other game, or any other process at all. If your looking to quit, PM me, Unknown0064 and I will gladly take any items/money you no longer require off of your hands.
"All my friends play Minecraft, but I play RuneScape"
"Wow! Even though I have never before experienced boredom of such an intensity, I cannot stop playing this game!"

The role playing game created by Jagex Ltd. It is way better than wow in many ways. First, Runescape is free, as in world of warcraft, you have to pay. Second is that the pay for members on runescape is 5 dollors per month. However, in Wow you have to buy the game AND pay like14 dollors just to play it. You can never finish runescape, it constanty updates. I suggest if you need a freee computer game that may take a longass time to beat, I'd play Runescape.

Runescape is created by JaGeX, a company based in the UK.
Runescape is one of the largest free MMORPG and one of the most played online games.
Although the game is free, there is an option to pay a small sum of £3.50 p/month for extra content such as; New areas, new skills, new items, new quests and much more exclusive things.
Runescape has alot of haters due to the idea of it being a basic and shallow game.
This is complete and utter bullshit because there are less than 100 people in the world who have achieved the max level in all skills in the 11 years it has been in existence.
Runescape is highly addictive and just when you think you're done playing the game...
Every time your bored you will have an uncontrollable urge to play it.
Over the years Runescape has gained complexity with the addition of graphical updates, new skills and basically an overall expansion of the game.
The game can either be played in your browser or you can download a client to run it.
The game mainly runs off of Java which is a type of code used to command.
Andrew Gower was the former founder/CEO of runescape untill his resignation in recent years.
Why the fuck am i writing this? I need to get back to Runescape.

The best fucking online game ever.
(Eventhough it is kinda like W.O.W...)
...But I have to admit it's really addicting.
The game is set in mideval times. (Meaning there's knights, monsters, and demons involved.)
What you can do on RuneScape is basically raise your skills, combat levels, and go on quests.
I know I'm making it sound boring, but it really isn't. O_o

This is a MMORPG that can be played for free, but many features are unlocked with a paid subscription. You progress through the game by completing quests and upgrading your skills. There are several mini-games, some of which have player-vs. player combat.
