A burrowing mammal in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, which also includes pikas and hares. Rabbits differ from rodents mainly because of diet and teeth, as rabbits have two sets of incisors, one behind the other. Rabbit are small, ranging from two to twelve or more pounds. Domesticated rabbits feed on unlimited grass hay and water, certain types of vegetables, and occasional treats. Rabbits make great pets, and are excellent companions for anyone who has plenty of patience and time. Bunnies can be as loyal as dogs and as aloof as cats, but are always adorable and loving. They love a good forehead rub and many like to be pet on the cheeks. Rabbits live the best lives as house pets and can be free roam. They can also be litterbox trained and are generally very neat pets. A rabbit is a wonderful friend to have.
