Happier version of "Empty Nesters" which elicits a connotation of sadness and loss which is the opposite of a couple who is Free Birdin'

Mom and Dad are Free Birdin' (Burden) in Mexico...again. They so seem happy and more relaxed since I left for college. I wonder why?
