In contrast to the more-general term "genocide" (pertaining to a case in which significant numbers of people are murdered, and with "genus" referring to either ethnic, class, or familial distinction), "ethnocide" refers to the specific and targeted destruction of an ethnic group.
The Holocaust was really less of a genocide than it was an ethnocide, since the Nazis (Yemach shemam.) specifically intended to destroy the Jewish ethnic group.

There needs to be a word for this since Racist and Prejudice don't match the definition to describe someone who acts this way.
There many different ethnicities that deal with this problem on a daily bases and there should be a word to describe it.
