The name is a portmanteau of Chanting and Rapping. A vocal composition which include a blend of Singing and Rapping with a flair Kompa and Beat Musics.

Which are Rap-sung in Haitian French-Creole, Crenglish, and Franglish, usually Feature a Lead a guest artist or Backing Vocalist or a Rapper who 'd contribute a guest verse.

Key elements of ChantRap music include:
Ad Lib, Melodic hook, (often with strong use of harmony), , Pitch, Notes, Reciting tones, Singsong tone, repeated rhythmic phrase, auto-tune, Vocoloid

Key stylistic element:
Vocals include a blend of SingRapping, Singable Melodies, falsetto-like pitch, Chanted vocals, Sung rap, Verse, Sung hook, Singing, Chorus.

A notable label of this kind of "ChantRap" is Negre Marron Records which was founded in New York City 2018 by René Guemps.
