A mantra, very emboldening, but hardly as noble as it sounds. Just about every I know who has put even the minimum amount of effort necessary to "get by" has all of these things. I have met people with degrees in hard sciences and progressive business working food service (too qualified I know, but somehow they got hired). That food service pays rent. It buys food. Is the wealth evenly distributed? Not in the slightest. Is it a problem? Sure! Does one hundred thousand people standing jobless in a protest crowd, declaring that they spend all day applying for jobs get them a job? No. Does uploading photos of themselves holding signs protesting how giant corporations get all the money on their iPhones produced by and bought from those money grubbing Giant corporations prove exactly how much they want to change this?"
