Z is a symbol used by the Russian government and pro Russian civilians. Its usage was popularized during the 2022 Russian-Ukrainian war. The initial purpose of the symbol was to help identify friendly fire on behalf of the Russians. since its original implement, Z has since gained notoriety among pro Russian internet users who, both ironically and sincerely, have begun to actively use it in online discourse. many use it as a symbol of rebellion against the sanctions imposed on Russia by Western governments; as well as just due to the fact that it's "ken".
