It is mainly used as a smart ass response in a situation.

If one person in a group of friends says something in a hyped up sentence, & what they say seems crazy or weird.

One of their friends usually says this back as a smart ass remark, about what the other guy said.

1.- "Hey dude, i just bought that new Ps3 game, do you want play it?!"

"Response" "Of course i do, you on crack much?"

2.- "Hey man, that's not how it went, your not understanding what went one!"

"Response" "Dude are you on crack, i saw what happen man, don't lie to me!"
