(sometimes written as two words: 'green inker') A member of the green ink brigade: in British journalistic circles, these are crackpots who write letters to the editors of newspapers or to celebrities, highlighting important words and phrases by using different coloured (typically green) ink. They may also write the whole letter in a coloured ink.

A famous novelist, read the first line of a letter, which began 'Lynda, you rotten swine..' and thought: "Oh no, a greeninker!" but reading on she realised it was a friend expressing mock jealousy over a recent success of hers.

Greenfield Center

A small town located outside of Saratoga Springs, NY. Home of Greenfield Elementary which is a Blue Ribbon school for those of you who don't know. Also home to some of the coolest people I have ever or will ever meet. Birth place of the GFA. Commonly reffered to as Gods Country, The Fields, Heaven on Earth, or The GFA. No matter where you are or how much you have had to drink, it's always a straight shot home.

Greenfield

Term used among some IT folks to refer to computers with a freshly installed operating system. The term greenfield references the default desktop wallpaper on a computer installed with Windows XP. The wallpaper shows a nice green field.

A "non-greenfield" computer refers to a used computer which has been in use for a while where the user may have made changes to it, additional software, drivers, etc have been installed

This laptop was totally greenfield yesterday! Who's the numbnut who installed the entire stupid HP Printer software suite

This software can be applied to a non-greenfield computer, i.e. we don't have to start from scratch
