the verb form of a gallivan. (1) Using excess emphasis on one's hangover (2) forcing others to partake in ideas or actions that they have deemed necessary (3) giving one "the Brass"

(adjective) it is used to describe someone who is wandering about, confused, and therefore acting foolishly gallivant, or seeking pleasure from the opposite sex.

this tends to irritate people and cause unwanted tension.

A Galivan is a boy or boys who enjoy crappy music and can't settle on one car. Galivans typically don't cut their hair and love wearing women's skinny jeans. If you were to see a galivan in public today, they would look like a normal boy with a mullet and a dirt stache. But beware, they smoke like a chimney and tell really bad jokes.

Dude 1: "Wow I can't believe I saw a galivan!"

Dude 2: "What did he look like?"

Dude 1: " I don't know, he was surrounded by a cloud of smoke."
