To fez something, or if something is fezzed, often in DIY, is to work with what you've got. To make something work out of often inadequate or non fit for purpose materials. It works, and can look right, but look closely and a perfectionist would have a heart attack.

I had to fez that shelf, I ran out of screws and it's balancing on a nail.

Is that cabinate level? Yeah, it's fezzed with some cardboard it it's level.

A cool videogame about a 2D being called Gomez, which receives a Fez from a cube. The fez allows Gomez to change the perspective of his "2D" world to solve puzzles and other stuff. It has many mysteries and puzzles using its own alphabet and numerical system or joysticks buttons.
