A term commonly used by Arkansas natives in the lower half of Arkansas, El Dorado, Arkansas to be exact. On the boug, meaning doing something bogus, refers to an individual doing something stupid, funny or acting on a plan with little to no success.

Example:

"Y'all ain't hear about them boys fighting in the East last night? Mane, them boys was ON THE BOUG."

"I was so drunk last night I ran straight into ole girl car. Real lie, I was on the boug like a muffucka."
