A member of the opposite sex whose attraction cannot be ignored. One has an obligation to "go for" (pronounced gopher) it thus making him or her a "gopher".

a skier. Skiers are called gapers because of the gaping hole between their legs and skis. Also known to do the gaper tuck. Has nothing to do with their hats and goggles and is only correct when used to describe skiers not snowboarders.

Distressed skier: Hey, you almost ran me over! (...after almost being ran over...)
Punk snowboarder: Fuck you, gaper! (...rides off...) Eat shit! (...runs into a barney and breaks his collarbone...)

The word is derived via a combination of the word hope and phrase "get some"

All he does is gope at the bar, he hasn't had any game since Gwen dumped him!

Is not always used to describe desperation:
"Im gunna go gope on those ladies over there!"

gopher tits

A woman (usually an older woman) who has long saggy breasts. Derived from: "Her tits are so saggy that when she takes her bra off they GO FOR the ground... hence gopher tits.

Ex. My wife's breasts used to be a perky 36B, but now that she is pushing 50 they are more like a 42 long. Now she has fucking gopher tits!
