A passive aggressive way of saying someone else is being passive aggressive. Designed to diffuse tension if being used face to face, or to bring humor to an anecdote when re telling a story.

I’m sick of Mitzy being all Old El Paso.

Or, in person- “hmmm somebody’s being a bit Old El Paso….”

Old Pythonian

A passionate fan of Monty Python and its film and TV incarnations, one especially fond of quoting verbatim whole sketches by heart, walking in Ministry of Silly Walks fashion or watching Monty Python videos online. Patterned, obviously, on "old boy," as in a graduate of a prestigious English public school, with the inevitable variants for various such, e.g., "Old Etonian," "Old Harrovian," "Old Reptonian," "Old Wykehamist," &c.

In Blackpool recently, I came across this rather campy Old Pythonian on the Promenade; he could whistle "The Lumberjack Song" while going into that rather disapproving Ministry of Silly Walks gait, all the while wearing a Pepperpot-type dress.

haggard old lady

Somebody who looks on the brink of death due to exhaustion, (therefore looking like a lady who is ancient as hell) this can usually be fixed by an alarm clock and a sensible bed time.

Rosie hasn’t been sleeping due to family issues, the principle pulled her in and called her a haggard old lady. How DARE she look after her family. An alarm clock is overdue for certain.
