a shitty band from new york that claims not to be emo but in reality sounds just like 5 other bands that claim to be emo. extremely over played on raido, mtv and other crappy stations.
its fan base consist's of 11-16 year old girls, 1 guy and 5 20 something year olds. the bands lead singer is the main problem in all of the filth because he pretends to be all hardcore and gothy when in reality even the fans of mcr hate him. the only decent thing about the lead singer is his wife lyn z of msi.
the band will be forgotten in 3 years when everyone gets over the emo fad.

A band that origionated from New Jersey, by lead singer Gerard way and ex drummer Matt Pelliser.
Origionally formed because Gerard saw the twin towers collapse and wanted to do something in his life.
they have 3 albums. 'bullets' 'three cheers' and 'the black parade'.
they have many dedicated fans, and a street team, 'the MCRmy'
They are NOT emo, and never will be with lyrics such as 'do what it takes to survive'
they are an anti-emo band and have 1 song that trys to brain washt he listener into NOT slitting their wrists---
'slit your wrists, it isnt that much fun'
behind this lyric is 'dont do it, do it, dont do it, do it'
so he is saying DO NOT SLIT YOUR WRISTS.
so how the hell is that emo?!?

My Chemical Romance is everything that is wrong with punk rock today. Punk Rock is supposed to be anti-establishment and mostly indie. Ever since Green Day hit the mainstream bands like this have been popping up all over the place. Bands such as these were criticized in the Punk Song "Separate the Church and Skate" by NOFX. Propaghandi also criticized such bands in the song "Rock for Sustainable Capitalism" Punk bands should not be created in the studio. The use of eyeliner takes us back to the hair band days, or just some gay fetish. Either way it ain't cool. My Chemical Romance is ruining the scene.

A fucking amazing band that existed from 2001-2013, their main albums include "I brought you my bullets, you brought me you love", "Three cheers for sweet revenge", "The black parade", and "Danger days: The true lives of the fabulous killjoys" During the black parade era, MCR referred to themselves as the black parade, which was supposed to be like a dead Sargent pepper's lonely hearts club band.
Person 1: "Hey do you remember that one band My Chemical Romance"
Person 2: "We don't talk about that..."
Emo: *starts crying*

An "emo" band that produced amazing songs, such as Helena, Welcome to the Black Parade, and Na Na Na, throughout different eras. Although currently broken up, (2001- March 22, 2013) They still live in, and crush, the hearts of their Fabulous Killjoys. See, Frank Iero, Gerard Way, Ray Toro, ect.
