The can (or bottle) of beer that is left in your fridge for weeks/months/years and almost certainly is of a unique flavor that is only suitable to a particular palate. It is commonly used to combine the stress relieving properties of showering and the pleasure giving chemicals in beer. Sometimes other alcohols are used but only rarely compared to beer in the shower. It is very similar to drinking wine in the bath.
