This is a phrase to state when someone mentions something positive and you don't want to celebrate it for whatever reasons that you may have.

Bryce: "I got the job! I got the job! I'm so excited. Now I'll be able to buy the engagement ring! My life is getting good!!!"
Mom: "Nay to that yay! I don't respect your decision-making at all. You are a disappointment!"
