Quaggaism

(noun)- the doctrine that life should be treated preciously and invaluably, encouraging individuals to keep in mind that, if life is not fully appreciated, the human species will end up like the quagga(a subspecies of the plains zebra)- extinct.

Joe is a devout adherent of Quaggaism, aware that every single decision he makes in life will in some way affect him in the future. This is because life is so precious and its outcome hinges on one's choices in life.
