Melle

A Norwegian slang word that loosely means «how are you doing» that can be used in many situations. The term can be used as a greeting, a question or as an ironic way of saying hello. The term can be used in two ways, either as just the word «melle» or as a more complete informal sentence « ka han melle».

Hansen said «ka han melle» when he saw his friend morten K in the street.
