going out for cigarettes

A popular euphemism for a parent (usually the Dad) walking out and abandoning their kids/family, where the abandonment takes place under the cover of a harmless, non-suspicious errand like going to get cigarettes.

Last time I was my Dad I was 3; he told us he was going out for cigarettes and he never came back.

Gordy Go-Hard

A term refering to those "athletes" that give it 120% no matter what the situation. Often found in gym classes, and scrimage games of hockey, football, etc. Often the kids have no athletic ability, but dress in all the latest sports wear (under armour) to give the appearence of being a superstar. Often leads the class in gym warm up, lapping them in a warm up jog, cranking their music and stretching for many mintues before a game of shinny.

Johnny says: "Hey boys wanna play a game of shinny?" Jim says: "Ya sure, I just gotta stretch and warm up" Sets off for a 6 mile jog, with the ipod in the ears. Johnny says "Jim, were having a scrimmage, stop being such a Gordy go-hard

(1)What an annoying character on Grand Theft Auto IV asks by phone. Unlike other characters on the game, he constantly annoys you with: let's go play darts!, go drinking!, ect.
(2)Said to be irelalantly humorous, especially said in serious matters.

Roman: Hey cousin, let's go bowling!
Niko: For the last fucking time, Roman, I don't want to go bowling!

I want to get off the phone now because I hate talking to you, but I'll pretend that I'm being polite by letting you go back to whatever boring crap you would be doing if you weren't talking to me.

Them: So then he said it was benign but I should probably get it removed. And I said-
