Yappers is a term that refers to people who talk excessively, often on trivial issues, and may verbally bully or harass others either online or in interpersonal settings so as to scare or exercise power over them by what they say.

Every time we gather for a family dinner, Uncle Joe and Grandma France turns into yappers, monopolizing the conversation with their stories and opinions, making it difficult for anyone else to share their thoughts or enjoy a meal together.
