Magnum Music is songs like raspberry beret, atomic dog, 1999, and jump. This is the type of music that would be played in the queue of a roller coaster in the late 80s and early 90s. The people in the line would be wearing visors and fanny packs. The name originated from Magnum XL 200 at cedar point in Sandusky Ohio when they used to have DJ’s in line.

Get the Magnum Musicmug. A video that accompanies a music track. Something created to add a more visual aspect to music, and popularized by MTV in the 80s. Some are used to add more meaning to the song and to convey the message better(best type), others are just videos of the artists playing the music(casual and the most popular), and some are random and meaningless things/just straight up weird, sometimes enough weird that it ruins the song in rare cases(Miike Snow). But for the most part, music videos are pretty cool and I'm glad they exist.

Get the Music videomug. I couldn't decide what to listen to. I started w/ ska, went to pop punk, 90s country, the soundtrack to Dear Evan Hansen, and finally settled on early 2000s Taylor Swift. I was having a full blown musical identity crisis.

Get the king of musicmug. The term "Mechanical Music" is used when, for example, a music track (usually electronic music) is characterized by elements of "mechanical sound design."
"Mechanical sound design" refers to the use of techniques such as time stretching, re-pitching, and looping (typically with very tight or extremely long loop times) in the sound design process.
IMPORTANT: The warping algorithms offered by Ableton Live are originally the main solution for achieving mechanical sound design in its true essence (beats mode, re-pitch).

Example: I take an electronic music track and stretch it to extreme levels (700-800-999 bpm) until I get interesting textures both audibly and creatively, using Ableton warping modes like beats or re-pitch. Then I can chop most interesting parts to obtain Mechanical Music / Mechanical Sound Design
