They're probably thinking the same. These three words in sequence form the unicorn you sought for in your puddle of vocabulary; this is how you end that conversation.
Sarah is doing her weekly grocery trip at Walmart until she bumped into her manager Abdul from her old job.
Abdul: Oh... hey Sarah, how's it going?
Sarah: Oh... hi Abdul, how's it going? We should, uh, Catch Up Soon™!!
If Abdul is on the same frequency as Sarah, Abdul will recognize it's time to cut the small talk short and bounce and reply:
Great! Catch Up Soon™.
Ideally, they go about their day and never cross paths again.
Abdul: Oh... hey Sarah, how's it going?
Sarah: Oh... hi Abdul, how's it going? We should, uh, Catch Up Soon™!!

Get the Soonmug. The word Shawn Mendes uses when he's talking about when SM3 is going to come out. It could mean tomorrow, next week, next month, hell, it could even mean next year. It's a sense of time that never arrives.

Soon doesn't have a time or a time set for the idea of it. It can mean now or much much much later than expected. Soon can't be defined by time by itself, soon doesn't have a concept of time. Soon doesn't believe in the human concept of time. It just happens when it happens. Soon doesn't have a time but more wait to it. Soon means, just wait for Dimash's new work and expect that it comes out way before the year 2100. :)
"when does Dimash's new music video come out?" "Oh soon, by tomorrow" "What about his Album?" "Soon" "Oh tomorrow?" "No but soon" "Didn't you say tomorrow?" "Yes" "..." :)
