The act sending someone a picture or link that is totally unrelated to the current conversation in order to redirect conversation away from an important topic or question. IE Britney starts a conversation with Jessica on a sensitive subject and Jessica responds with an unrelated picture of a bird.

I’m tired of Jessica always birding me when I try to have a serious conversation about our relationship status.

Birding

When you sit across from a mirror while watching a movie or reading, so you can look up and grin at yourself during the good parts, and pretend that you're not alone. Like a caged bird interacting with its own reflection.

I'm usually birding when I read fan fiction, since no one gets as excited about my OTP as I do. Birding is like having a best friend who shares all your opinions!
