to alernatly smush and/or ruffle another's hair with hands, usually in a side to side motion.

this word comes from combining the two words "smush" and "ruffle" while slurring the beginning a bit.

"Oh, that guy is so fuzzy. I just want to go up to him, schmuffle his hair, and say, "Will you marry me?"

To move or transfer quickly from one place to another. Can also be used as part of a command to break up drunken fights between friends. First uttered by a BAMFfrom a small town in Kansas who was vacationing in South Padre.

taxicab shuffle

When you are in a manual transmission vehicle, and you shift from 2nd gear to 4th or 5th, or 1st to 3rd. Typically works best if you are going down a hill.

We were running a yellow light and Dad stalled out the Escort doing the taxicab shuffle.
