at work when you are idle against your will. Not because you're lazy or slow working or whatever, but you're literally awaiting further instructions and/information related to a certain task or project.

When you're caught doing nothing at work (caveat this doesn't include things that you already know are nsfw) you can always tell your boss you're neither idle nor indolent or anything similar, but in a.f.i mode.

Da setting on yer smart phone where Siri tells you not to call her "Shirley" anytime you utter da "it must be da case" word.

Me: Hey Siri --- bring up "Lassie Come-Home" on archive.org.
Siri: I'm sorry --- that book has been pulled from the site due to copyright lawsuits.
Me (incredulously): Pulled due to copyright...?? THAT ancient classic?! Surely there must be some mistake!
Siri: There **isn't** a mistake --- and don't call me "Shirley".
Me: Ooops --- I see that I left my phone in "Airplane! mode".
P.S. Kidding aside, Siri apparently CAN INDEED be programmed to cheekily sass you back like this; here's what da Google-AI response had to say when I posed da question:
