When you have a group of friends and can never get them all together. The one who misses out is labelled a shit friend. Its an honest adnoun representing disappointment without providing pressure to the friendship.

Best friend

A term used to describe a two people - regardless of either person's gender - that really want to be together and/or have sex with each other, but can't because one or both of the participants sexuality prevents it, and both parties are respectful of the other's orientation. Expressions people use to show that they are best friends include but are not limited to: Holding hands, ass-slapping, platonic-open-mouth tongue kissing, breast-squeezing, platonically sharing nudes, etc.

Example 1
John: "Hey Kate! I heard Ashley sent you nudes! Are you two lesbians?"
Kate: "Oh, no! It's not even like that. We're just best friends - I still like guys!"
John: "Oh, bummer."

Example 2
Brendan: "Hey David, did you know that Calvin and Kayla are best friends now?"
David" "Oh really now?...So which one of them is the gay one?"
