A term that was originally used to describe what happens when you buy a computer from Cyberpower inc, but has now broadened to mean 'any piece of computer hardware that breaks soon after you recieve it.'

"Did you get that new hard drive yet?"
"Yeah, but when I put it in, it didn't work"
"Ouch, you totally got Cyberpowerfucked on that one"

Cyber Punk

The hardest thing to say about cyber punk is it's definition. To sum up what cyber punk means in reality - it generally covers the computing underworld of hackers, as well as various underground technology such as amateur military technology.

In fiction, cyber punk is considered a sub-genre of sci-fi, especially popular in Japanese animation (anime), although also seen in films such as Blade Runner and The Matrix. Generally, this type of fiction covers the subjects of computing, hacking and general mechanical technology.

It should be noted that cyber punk is not an officially accepted term in computer science, although it has been widely accepted as a laymans term in fiction.

That anime has mecha fights, computers that can access everyones brain, its a cyber punk anime.

n. 1. A being that is part robot, and part human. {cyb(ernetic) + org(anism)}. 2. A human who has certain physiological processes aided or controlled by mechanical or electronic devices.

adj. A fate worse, or on par with death.

v. 1. To turn someone into a part robot part human being. 2. To add mechanical or electrical devices to someone in order to make them, better, faster and/or stronger than they could previously ever have been.

n. That cyborg just assimilated your mother into the collective.

2. The term is sometimes used to define a person that competes in computer game tournaments for cash prizes.

3. A registered trademark of the parent company of the CPL.
