Gears Nap

A brief nap in between Gears of War rounds for the XBOX 360. Typically used late in the evening. Also adaptable to every day life situations, such as; Load screens, Red lights, commercials, etc.

This round is taking forever, I'm taking a Gears Nap.

Power Nap

1. The act of getting what is essentially getting a nights sleep in a fraction of the time.

2. An afternoon nap to keep you up later that night.

"Whew, had to power nap last night. Exams = pwning me."

"Hey, I gotta power nap for a bit so I can mack on some bitches. Ill see ya in a few."

"I had to power nap last night when Jen got done with me, especially after she brought those ponies in."

night nap

A nap that takes place at or after dusk and goes on into the evening/night hours, but is not a full sleep. After waking the napper often is left feeling even more tired and groggy than before the nap.

"Ah man I am so groggy, I took a night nap and woke up at 9pm and now I feel so shitty and lazy I never even wanna move ever again."

Nap Guilt

a state of remorse for having fallen asleep during the day when you have more productive things you could be doing.
Often accompanied with a disorientation of AM or PM.

Caleb: I think I'm just going to lay down while I wait for The Office to come on.
~~~2 hours later~~~
Caleb: Oh no, I missed The Office and forgot to pick my mom up from the laundromat. Is it 6:30 AM or PM? (nap guilt).

hood nap

The act of passing out on the hood of a car; typically due to excessive alcohol consumption.

John: "Hey, what happened to Kitty last night? One minute she was dancing on the bar, then all of the sudden she was gone!"

Kolleen: "We were wondering the same thing until we cut out of there and found her passed-out on the car...she was just taking a hood nap."
