The annual programming event held on GitHub in the month of October. People contribute to other peoples work during this festival. Many people, would confuse this for illegal hacking and not legal programming.

Today David, participated in the Hacktoberfest but other people thought that he was hacking.

Basically, The person will hack someone's account in a certain game and they get banned by the person who is hacking them.

Example:

Person 1: OMFG JENNY IS HACKING ME
Person 2: HURRY AND MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT
Person 1: OH NO I GOT BANNED
Person 2: NOOOOOOOOOO
