Brigador

Stemming from brigadoon (a place that is idyllic, unaffected by time, or remote from reality) and Brigadier (a rank of officer above colonel and below major general.) , this term describes an officer of unknown and surreal landscapes that need the firm palm of law to guide its wildlands.

Alt: It can also be interpreted that Brigador is a combination of Brigadoon and Conquistador, which is up for debate.

The colonies were built on the land that the Brigador so graciously razed for us years prior.

A shop or building that you find by accident, but which isn't there when you return. Taken from the name of the village (in the musical and the film) which reappears for one day in every hundred years.

There's this wonderful Thai restaurant in Scarborough, but it's a bit of a Brigadoon.

Simply one of the bests, if not the best brazillian sweet EVER. It's made from cocoa and condensed milk, it's covered in granulated chocolate and it's very chewy. Most north americans joke about it, saying it is a "poop ball", but they should try it before saying anything about it.

Watermelon brigades is a reference to activists that support the Palestinian struggle. The watermelon colors - the green, red, white, and black of fruit, rind, and seeds—match those of the Palestinian flag and tell the story of the plight and pride of the Palestinian people.

Hundreds marched in support of the Palestinian struggle. Those self-described as "the watermelon brigades" marched to proclaim their support for a Palestinian state.
