street punk

Sometimes Apolitical, sometimes Anarchist, punks with DIY clothing who bum around, they stay outta their parents house, dont ask for money except from random people, dont have cell phones, dont have ipods, dont go to school, sometimes they got cassette players, they steal food and other stuff to live on, drink a lot of beer, do a lot of drugs because they know all the dealers and scrape cash from selling drugs or stuff, they have the mentality that "life is short, fuck it, why live under anybody's rules", theyre also usually nice people, but theyre slick as hell, they take punk to the absolute apex of its meaning and you catch them at only the most hardcore shows

Person 1: Yo man who is that kid with the crazy studded jacket and dirty clothes?

Person 2: Hes the local street punk, hes been livin at the squat house up the street.

Person 1: Why the fuck would he do that?

Person 2: He just doesn't give a fuck. He's Roman.

oi punk

A type of punk muisc derived from europe, and the early skinhead movement. Tens to have more melody then other forms of punk and more choruses. Many choruses in which obtain the word oi.

sham69, ducky boys, oi!scouts, oi!polloi, cockney rejects, cock sparrer, a major accident. are some oi punk bands.

pseudo-punk

background: the word 'pseudo' meaning fake, put together with 'punk'.

A person who trys to be punk and "hardcore", but truly is the exact opposite. pseudo-punks bring shame to true punks. many claim they are "anarchists" as well, even though they consistantly shop from hot topic, which contradicts basic anarchist morals. a psuedo punk may do but is not limited to the following: wearing ramones and sex pistols shirts, and not knowing ONE song by either, shopping from hot topic (as mentioned above), calling anyone who doesn't dress like them and/or disagrees with them "preps" and "conformists", and may smoke pot or do other narcotics to be rebellious.

ramones fan: nice ramones shirt you got there. what's your favorite song by them?

psuedo-punk: uhhhmm, erm, i dunno..."sex and drugs"?

Sparkle punk, or sparklepunk, is a derivative of modern emo revival music, a genre played by bands like Snowing, The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, and Algernon Cadwallader, that fuses pop punk musicianship with the traditional sound of emo revival.

Popular sparklepunk bands include Mom Jeans, JANK, and Donovan Wolfington.
