Fox's law

Like godwin's law but pertaining to biscuits - a favourite conversation topic amongst brits on Internet forums - especially once a thread has served its purpose or the original poster has made things awkward, someone (usually sarcastic) will eventually mention biscuits to diffuse and/or derail the thread.

Some squid asked a question on the motorbike forum about cleaning his carburetor - we pointed out that his 2019 lexmoto is electronically injected, he got angry. Next post was a question about whether you should dunk a custard cream or not. Fox's law.

Ohio Center for Law Related Education

Commonly shortened to the OCLRE. Used to pop off with the best mock trial competitions in Ohio, but now takes 3 weeks to return scores and another 2 to award best witnesses and attorneys. Hasn't been the same since they went virtual, and they just might be using COVID as an excuse to slack off.

Man, I sure hope the Ohio Center for Law Related Education gives us our scores this weekend.

Clays Law of Yo Mama

As the relationship between mothers is not a transitive one. One mother cannot be directly translated to another, so when you reference my mother you are neglecting this mathematical law. Rather the relationship between mothers is inversely proportional so when you say my mother you are actually insulting your own mother due to this relationship. Your mom is a very nice lady so I would rather you not insult your mom through this relationship and just admit it was your mom to begin with

Murphy's Law of Engine-Idling Duration

"If you leave your vehicle's engine running during a delay in proceeding (traffic-jam, road construction, accident-resolution, "stuck" red signal-light, etc.), you will be sitting there for many minutes, just wasting gas. The instant you turn the key off and climb out of your seat to stretch, however, THAT'S when the line of traffic will begin moving again, and thus you will have shut off your engine "for nothing", AND you will now be holding up everyone behind you while you hastily hop back into the driver's seat and re-start the engine so that you can move forward again."

I finally took da plunge and bought a second-hand Toyota Prius because I'd eventually had one too many cases of Murphy's Law of Engine-Idling Duration... the Prius automatically shuts down its power during stand-stills, and then uses its electric motor to provide instant mobility as soon as you're ready to go again.
