A person born between 1991 and 2000. If we agree it takes 16 to 20 years for a person to learn and mature (by societal norms) . Every individual born between these dates would be 4 to 12 years old at the time when the information age really started. It was these few short years where the use of touch screen Internet phones exceeded desktop Internet use. This generation were highly influenced by this. A very small generation. Because these individuals at the eldest were starting comprehensive school and the youngest starting infants school (UK system). They had smartphone Internet access. The information age was public and accessible to all. The beginning of social media, this generation started and gave rise to the online world we all know today.
They are the true millennials, one's who grew up at the start, some became dot.com millionaires, most didn't but the fact is they matured into the adults they are today with this technology at their fingertips in the very beginning of the information age.
If a person reach 16 before this technological and societal change... They are not a millennial.

Get the Millennialmug. A tragic digital condition in which a millennial’s sense of humor, creativity, and critical thinking slowly decay due to prolonged exposure to low-effort, painfully relatable, nostalgia-bait content. Often triggered by watching 30-minute reaction videos, BuzzFeed-era skits, or “adulting is hard” jokes for the 800th time.
Symptoms include:
Saying “This is so me!” to TikToks about doing laundry.
Thinking quoting The Office counts as having a personality.
Commenting “he doesn’t miss” under a guy reacting to 60 TikToks in silence.
Wearing shirts that say “I can’t adult today.”
Cry-laughing at wine jokes that haven’t evolved since 2014.
