"bogart" has nothing to do with Humphrey Bogart. All such definitions are merely passed along out of error. At Folsom prison in California the habit of putting your arm around the food to keep others from takin it was called "bowlguarding". From Folsom it spread to other prisons and into the general population. This expression compressed to "bogart" and perfectly extended to hogging a marijuana joint. It is a prison term and much precedes the 1976 song where it first became commonly heard generally outside of California.

Don't bogart that joint, my friend.

Dimmu Borgir

Possibly the worst band in the history of music, and I use the term "band" loosely here, because its not so much a band as it is a bunch of dirty dumbasses screeching about TORMENTING A CHRISTIAN SOUL while chaining eachother up with leashes and fucking eachother in the asshole. Their music is horrible and is mainly there just because you have to play music to be a band, their main priority is worshipping "Satan" and creating a bunch of worthless Demon Butt acolytes that wear black and think its cool to set fire to goats. Definetley a no-listener.

Bogart

To steal something from someone in a shady manner. This can be applied to anything including female pursuit. Such as if a friend was about to get with a girl at a party and you dive in for the kill thus "bogarting" him of his chance with her.

Also if a scummer steals random stuff from your house at a party such as shaving cream, cups, etc.

"Man I just got bogarted hardcore, that I was just makin out with 10 minutes ago just went in the back room with some dude"

Moving to the front of a lane of traffic that is merging in an attempt to bypass the normal merge and get ahead of several cars.

Tighten up! Don’t let him over! He’s trying to Bogart his way in!

Look at that semi-truck blocking both lanes to stop people from Bogarting!
