Hunger-rection

To see food currently unable to be eating but to still desperately want it, often resulting in near-orgasmic sounds, usually online, on Food Network, or in a cookbook. Also see foodgasm
I found this recipe online for Dark chocolate cookie dough fudge brownies. It gave me such a Hunger-rection.

Ruby: when Cartier killed my tribute in the fanfiction story, I threw him into the Hunger Games because it was International Teleport People Into the Hunger Games Day.

HUNGER

A normal hunger that far exceeds anyone else. All consuming. Unyielding. Those who experience HUNGER truly are either those to be feared, or those who should fear for themselves and their sanity before sheer hunger overwhelms their poor mind. You should attempt to satisfy the HUNGER at all costs.
Person 1: Hey man, I haven’t had anything to eat all day. I HUNGER.
Person 2: Oh shit

A Hunger Games Effect

An effect often seen in books of the dystopian genre where the author inserts a slew of unfortunate, jarring events that leave the reader astonished and speechless, especially if a beloved character dies suddenly with little time to grieve.
In the book Mockingjay, from The Hunger Games Trilogy, the death of the character Finnick Odair shows A Hunger Games Effect in full force, where he dies so suddenly, it’s almost comical.
