Slugged up can either mean having a bunch of tattoos or having a permanent grill. Both of the current definitions on here are correct.

The key factor of being slugged up is the permanence of a tattoo or gold crowns which is why both definitions are correct.

One can also say slugged out.

Mike flipped a pack and went got his whole arm slugged out the next day.

Ginger character originally from long-running children's chav drama programme "Biker Grove". Now more commonly used as an insult to people who, whilst claiming their hometown to be Middlesborough (NOT NEWCASTLE - or THE TOON), actually grew up in the remote fishing community of Craster on the north east coast of England.
