Someone scared to adopt new trends. They usually end up getting into them three months before they end. The term is mainly used in the realm of technology, but can also be used in relation to fashion, music, or anything else that trends.

Average Joe: You know Lucy? She finally bought a pair of distressed jeans.
Fashionista: OMG! Is she serious? They are totally on the way out now!
Average Joe: Yeah. She's a pretty late adopter.
