Gill and Loi

Loi and Gill are both Jat Sikh surnames. The Loi clan are descendants of the Gill Jat clan and they originate from Hoshairpur ( village Pandori Ganga Singh) in Punjab. All the Lois were originally Gills, however during the Mughal empire invasion on Punjab, they decided to adopt a new punjabi surname as Loi .
