Random number generator.

Really, pseudo-random, often seeded based on the millisecond of the time of day.

It is used as a complaint about seemingly random events in MMORPGs and gaming in general, when in reality, it is often predictable and those complaining just aren't able to understand a pattern.

"F***in' RNG" my guildmaster in a Firelands raid when he felt the boss wasn't doing what they were supposed to and we wiped yet again.

RNG carried

A person can be considered 'RNG carried' when they have an extraordinary amount of luck over longer periods of time. Commonly used in MMORPG games featuring an enhancement system.
'RNG carried' people would be utterly useless with an average amount of luck and therefore normal gear.

The common, disgustingly RNG carried person is the guy that always gets the best drops and the easiest upgrades with minimum effort.

*your friend gets a particularly rare loot drop*
Everyone in chat immediately calls the person 'fucking rng carried'.
