A state of mind which is about caring a lot about formalities, often more than necessary. One may be called pedantic when he/she points out corrections in unimportant details.

pedanticism

Pedanticism is a practised by people so focused on errors that they sometimes end up missing the errors of their own.

Pendanticism is related to perfectionism in the fashion that the individual practicing this form of perfectionism always are experiencing the need to correct 'faults' until absolute 'perfection'.

If this person spots an error, they have to correct it, even if it would be deemed unneccessary by other individuals.

Sometimes the error they feel the urge to correct the errors that are not even there. This often leads to conflicts, where a more immature person might start peckering even further about inexistant errors.

Pedanticist:
OMG, nub u liek cnat spell! Taht word isnt spelld liek that!!

Victim for unmotivated correction:
Before you start peckering me with your inexistant errors, perhaps you should take a look at your own pedanticist-behaviours.

There are definitive downsides of pedanticism, as you can see.

Grammatical Pedantry Syndrome

A fake syndrome created in a joke blog by Dennis Baron of the University of Illinois. Many people were fooled by Baron, as the article heavily uses scientific jargon, making it appear like a legitimate piece of scientific literature, but the actual text includes a litany of linguistic jokes and signs that it is actually a hoax. Also, anyone with a basic understanding of OCD would be able to tell that the purported symptoms of "GPS" are dissimilar to actual OCD symptoms; OCD is an anxiety disorder defined by intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors, not a need for order or structure.

Grammatical Pedantry Syndrome is a load of baloney, however I do have Memetic Veracity Syndrome; that is, the need to correct false information (particularly contained in memes) on the internet.

Synonymous with bull-peking- when something is woke AF or respected gentleman think that it is woke.

My homeboy Yooker Steve was so bull pecan woke for saying guys ten times in a row.

The homeboy Lucozia pulled up to the smear spot with his papier covered in skidmarks and his buttix all chafed and rashy.

When my homeboy Pic n' Pac showed up to the party with pierogis i told him he was bull pecan guys.

Pecan Sandy

A very rough HJ, definitely without any kind of lubrication, and in extreme conditions given out by someone with dry, cracked hands. A likely side effect of this act is a severely chafed penis. Perversely, some gentlemen prefer this to regular HJs, i.e. Ralph Cifaretto from The Sopranos.
