The majority of people who are SELF DEFINED as "nice guys" are usually weirdos that try to act nice in order to hide their awkwardness and pervertness thinking they can fool other people and especially girls. After failing to get positive attention from both males and females instead of trying to actually solve their mental problems they usually end up blaming the society that prefers "assholes" over "nice guys".
The term nice guy has a very positive meaning when used to describe an other person (assuming they do not have in mind the definition above)

A whiny little manchild that can't wrap his head around the fact that you don't get rewarded for doing something you're supposed to be doing. Will fall in love with you after one 5 minute conversation and will say you're "not like those other bitches".
Also confused as to what being "Nice" actually means, and is more often than not a horrible, vile human being, that will put effort into treating you like a human being every once in a while, and then throw a massive temper tantrum when he doesn't get his dick wet for doing it. Has almost nothing else going for him and think being "nice" should be enough to get any super model to marry him, despite having no other even interesting qualities. Always runs after women so far out of his league they're not even in the same solar system any more, and then rants about what a cunt she is when she gets together with her hot, educated lawyer/doctor/engineer boyfriend instead of the usually gag-inducingly unattractive and socially retarded Nice Guy.

A guy that ultimately could satisfy the sexual needs of women if they were given a chance. women want nice guys but go for the assholes because women are hipocritical and shallow and couldn't even give the nice guys a sympathy fuck.

A term that a mother uses to describe any single man she approves of and fantasizes about her daughter marrying, but for whom the daughter usually claims to have zero interest in *that* way.
A man labelled a "nice guy" is often a superficially respectful and intelligent, but also frustratingly indecisive or cowardly person who won't get the aforementioned girl because he won't initiate or ask.
Sometimes, the girl dislikes him and finds him boring because he always plays his life safe and fails to go out and accomplish anything interesting with it. (This is why the mother likes him.)
Other times, he is a friend of the girl and desires a relationship with someone, but fails to consider the obvious candidate. (This is the most cliched of romantic-comedy cliches).

Living proof that human evolution has yet to progress to the point where the female's genes have been reprogrammed to finally ignore the primitive and obsolete alpha male and expand their sexual relations to the more intelligent and advanced beta male. This is why 21st century women are still compelled to be sexually attracted to aggressive assholes who treat them like crap instead of reserved guys who treat them with dignity and respect, e.g. nice guys. As a result, nice guys are normally single because women are naturally repelled by them.
