unpopular

1) mainly used by middle school/high school kids to describe a "class" of people that are not considered popular. Can mean many different things, from a generally disliked person to a person that just doesn't conform with that is in at the time. The whole popular/unpopular thing is pretty juvenile, most people realize that after highschool. the ones that don't are developmentally challenged.
2)technically anything that is not liked by many people. can be used to describe brands, trends, people, basically whatever you can think of that doesn't catch on.
1) Erica: The cool kids said i was unpopular today and won't let me sit at there lunch table!
Christa: Who gives a fuck. Once they stop being whiney little teenagers they'll probably forget about it all anyway.

2) wearing underwear on the outside of your pants is unpopular.

unpopular

There's no difference between the "popular" people or the "unpopular" people. The popular people may have more friends, but that doesnt mean the "unpopular" people don't. These too are just stupid classifications with no defined border floating around the world of school.

I was joking with a couple of "unpopular" people, and then this girl came up to me and she's like, "You're one of them?" Um...wtf?

r/unpopularopinion

A subreddit that is absolutely hypocritical to the name it's reciven. Most of the opinions are just "Minecraft is overrated", "Harry Potter is overrated," "weed is good", "Fortnite is fun," "TikTok is good," or something that aims at women or black people, or sex.
Typical r/unpopularopinion post:

Opinions: "I feel very feel uncomfortable hugging a woman because of her chest."

Reason: "Ok. So maybe I'm just overly worried or concerned but I never have felt comfortable hugging women because I feel uncomfortable knowing their chest might rub on me. I can't help feeling like women don't like it either. Then again I've always been one to care about what others think. I never want to offend anyone. Obviously hugging my wife is one thing. But anyone else I just don't like to. Cousins, friends....etc."

Unpopular

People not classed as the 'cool' kids. Often used by the 'populars' to refer to the other kids when in fact the so-called unpopulars are the more popular ones. They may not get invited to all the parties but they have the true friends and are only outcasted by the populars because they are 'different' or not afraid to speak their mind. All of the unpopulars will be the ones who you see in celebrity magazines and on the news and on TV and any popular kids from school will be the ones asking you whether you want fries with that.

r/unpopularopinion

A reddit group that is often used by people who have no friends, so they actually post random garbage for attention, regardless of whether it is unpopular. Many members can't pay for extra therapist appointments, so they use this group as a substitute. The only thing worse than the members, are the mods who seek any form of attention and the illusion of having any authority or control, of which their lives are completely devoid .
When I was a tween, I felt like I had no friends so I joined r/unpopularopinion. When I got older, I was denied a part-time job as a mall cop, so I became a mod for r/unpopularopinion. It makes me feel important and tweens must respect my authoritaah!
