Protagonist Syndrome

A mental attitude where a person is so infatuated with themselves and their goals that they become impatient and shut things out of their life or procrastinate on things they need to do rather than what they want to do. This kind of person indulges in self-care, and anything that doesn't concern their well-being and/or livelihood that causes them stress is irrelevant and trite.

If they're not focused on their goals, they're waiting for that moment for god to come along and " bless " them with an important goal.

If you relate to this, you probably have some other mental disorder and/or watch too much anime.

I told my followers on Twitter I'm taking a mental health break and one of them commented " ratio ". They don't even follow me and they hurled an insult at me anyway. I think they have a case of protagonist syndrome.

Protagonist (Persona 5)

The protagonist of Persona 5 is a transfer student at Shujin Academy. At the beginning of the game, he has little to no power or influence in the world and is restrained by the rules of the system he was born into.

However, beneath his quiet demeanor is a strong-willed juvenile delinquent known throughout the world as The Phantom, to the residents of the Velvet Room he is known as the Trickster, and to his teammates his code name is Joker. The protagonist is the leader of the rebellious Phantom Thieves of Hearts which aims to change society by touching the hearts of people and performing illegal heists.

Protagonist Syndrome

Common tendency in works of fiction, although mostly illustrated in anime and manga, for protagonists or heroes to be very intellectually skilled normally, but be very dense when it comes to social interactions.

"Dude, Makoto from Danganronpa 1 has borderline protagonist syndrome. He tears through the class trials, but can't even take a hint from a single love interest."

The main male subject of a story.

Useful for describing white trash "bros" or black "bros" (short form of brothers) in a situation. Very good for watching movies.

c: Man, he just drove into a train!
d: What? How did he do that? I just went to the washroom for a minute!
c: Well, the brotagonist was driving right beside him on a motorcycle, and he managed to hit a jump, avoiding the train. The other jerk went into the side of the boxcar.
d: Dude. No joke!

a: Did you hear the latest R Kelly track?
b: No, dude I did not. Is it good?
a: Sort of. In it, the brotagonist is talking about making a sexual video with a young girl. It hit a little close to home.
